How the estimate works

What actually drives real estate photography cost

Property size

More rooms means more photos, more time on site, and more editing. Homes above roughly 3,000 sq ft usually move to an expanded photo set.

Media mix

Photos are the base. Drone, video, a 3D tour, and a floor plan each add capture time on site and post-production afterward.

Property type

A townhome, an acreage tract, a short-term rental, and a commercial building each need different coverage — and the last two are quoted individually.

Location and access

Austin and the surrounding Central Texas communities are the regular service area. Trips beyond it are quoted per appointment.

Frequently asked questions

Real estate photography cost questions

How much does real estate photography cost in Austin?

It depends on the size of the property and how much media the listing needs. A standard photo set starts at $150, and full media packages that add drone, video, a 3D tour, and a floor plan run higher. This calculator builds an estimate from the same starting prices published on the ATXPhotoDude booking page.

Is the estimate a final price?

No. It is an estimate based on published starting prices. Final pricing is confirmed at booking, where property size, access, and scope are accounted for.

Why did I get a custom quote instead of a number?

Some combinations cannot be responsibly priced automatically — very large properties, commercial and multifamily buildings, travel outside Central Texas, and items quoted per listing such as social reels. In those cases the tool recommends a custom quote instead of inventing a price.

Is a package cheaper than ordering services separately?

Usually, yes. When your selections line up with a package, the calculator shows the matching package so you can compare before booking.

Do prices change by city?

Austin and the surrounding Central Texas communities are the regular service area with no travel adjustment. Work outside that area is quoted per trip.

What is included in the photo price?

Professionally edited HDR images delivered MLS-ready, typically in 24 hours or less, with usage for marketing the listing.
